Artist Biography
Growing up in the Gallatin Valley of the Rocky Mountains, I have been inspired my entire life by nature. I fell in love with horses at a young age, and drew horses every chance I got. I drew mountains and horses all the time. Eventually I branched out and learned how to draw other things, and pretty soon, it was all I wanted to do. Even today, if I see the perfect scenery, or a beautiful animal, my spirit will not rest until I have captured that beauty on canvas.
I had the typical art classes in my elementary and high schools, and only two preliminary art classes in college. I am pretty much self taught, simply by trial and error, or seeing television art shows, or reading painting or drawing books. All the book learning in the world will not an artist make; rather, it is the creativity in the spirit that comes out through the artists' hand...
I have recently taken up my creative side again when a professional artist (who I did NOT know was a professional until afterwards!) looked at one of my pieces and said it was really beautiful. Thanks to all of my friends and networks, I am actively creating all the time. I am loving letting my artist spirit out and thrive!!!
